Maria Sigutina
Director

Maria has more than 12 years of professional communications experience working within international teams on community relations, brand positioning, sponsorship, media relations and special events. Maria’s expertise lies at the intersection of art, technology, communication and business development. Maria served as a Communications Consultant for the World Bank (IBRD and IFC), as well as for several art institutions, architectural offices, universities, and high-tech companies internationally. She provided communications support for projects in the fields of science & innovation, technology transfer, creative industries, international partnership-building, renewable energy, cleaner production, sustainable architecture and urban development. Maria holds a Master’s degree in Sociology and Social Anthropology from the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary.

Veronika Kupriyanova
Research & Innovation Communications Expert

Political scientist by training, Veronika has built her 10-year expertise in R&D policy design, and project management and communication at several international organisations (ITC UNCTAD-WTO, World Bank, S&T of the EU Delegation to Russia, European University Association and Academic Cooperation Association). Veronika’s expertise lies with science communication and project administration. A Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung and German Chancellor Programme, she worked at the Humboldt University in Berlin, where she conducted research on academic internationalisation and supported management of international projects. Veronika has gained valuable experience in communication as Editor at the Brussels-based Academic Cooperation Association. She has also led communication, exploitation and quality control tasks in the EU-funded FP7 EYE and REFLEX projects, as well as in the H2020 WEKIT project.

Mikhail Fominykh
Research & Development Technology Expert

Mikhail is a researcher and a project manager in the field of Technology-Enhanced Learning. A computer scientist and multimedia designer by training, Mikhail started his career as a developer of software and learning content. Mikhail obtained his PhD at the Department of Computer and Information Science at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, (NTNU-Trondheim) and later did a postdoc at the Program for Learning with ICT at the same university. Mikhail has gained solid experience in the area of technology-enhanced learning thanks to his participation in several national and international R&D projects (including an ongoing H2020 WEKIT and past EU-funded TARGET, CoCreat and TIE). He has also developed and supported technologically several courses and training programs. He has published over 45 papers and book chapters and presented his research findings at more than 50 academic conferences.

Caitlin Elizabeth Boucher
Curator, Art Consultant, International Relations Expert

An experienced Art Market Professional, Caitlin has a decade of art world know-how, working in artist residency, institutional, and private foundation international development strategy, exhibition curation, branding, marketing, communication, and VIP event coordination. She has collaborated with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Christie’s auction house, New York, FIAC art fair, and Thaillywood Artist Residency & Foundation, in addition to advising art galleries, artists, art collectors, universities, and art fairs from London to Dubai, New York to Bangkok. She is the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of The Catalyst Platform, a global network of artist residencies in university science and technology laboratories. The Catalyst Platform creates new opportunities for art, science and technology to thrive as interrelated, mutually informing modes of exploration, knowledge and discovery. This long-term, international-reaching, entrepreneurial initiative manifests itself through the support of existing or creation of university artist-in-residency programs, exhibitions, and colloquia. Originally from the island of St. Croix in the Caribbean, Caitlin graduated from New York’s Barnard College of Columbia University, having majored in Art History with complementary minors in Psychology, French, and Dance History. Caitlin holds a Master degree in Contemporary Art and Art Market Studies from l'IESA, Paris.
